The La Grange EDC Small Business Assistance Matching Grants shall be distributed as a reimbursement only. The applicants match must be cash only, no "in kind" services shall be accepted. Businesses within La Grange city limits, or within one mile of those city limits, are eligible to apply. Businesses may receive assistance for a maximum of 2 requests only and no more that $5,000.00 per request with a minimum of three (3) years between application requests. Applicant shall be required to sign an agreement that if at anytime applicant is unable to fulfill the requirements of the grant contract the grant then becomes a loan payable back at Wall Street Journal Prime Interest Rate back to La Grange EDC by the applicant. Upon grant approval and six (6) months thereafter applicant shall be required to provide a written report to the EDC Coordinator stating how the grant funds have been used to meet the requirements of the grant and the status of the project. The La Grange EDC Small Business Assistance Program shall be available on a first come-first serve basis. Application shall be accepted monthly and the La Grange EDC reserves the right to approve application. Applying does not necessarily mean approval.
